Meet Mary L. House and you’re sure to walk away feeling encouraged, inspired and even empowered to achieve your dreams. Mary’s rich history includes overcoming poverty, nurturing a strong family, owning successful businesses and helping a husband and pastor Bishop Clinton House, Sr. build the congregation of Mountaintop Faith Ministries in Las Vegas from just 13 members in 1990 to more than 4,000.
In 1996, she co-founded the faith-based nonprofit community organization CHR, Inc. to help families of the unemployed, and underemployed; as well as women who are survivors of domestic violence in Southern Nevada. In 2017, she became an advocate for environmental justice and began educating her community on renewable energy that will lead to healthier lives. She has been able to provide education on the benefits of driving an electric car, benefits of cooking on an induction cooktop and ways to create a greener and healthier home.
CHR has utilized more than eleven million dollars in grants and private funding to provide assessment, training, coaching, placement, and support to help thousands of adult and dislocated workers find gainful employment and upward mobility. They also host free empowerment workshops every month for women who are survivors of domestic violence.
She is a successful businesswoman, family advocate, spiritual leader, motivator, and mentor, literally inspiring hundreds of women, thousands of families, and countless strangers on a regular basis. Dr. House holds two Doctorate degrees: A Doctor of Divinity and a Doctorate of Humanity and has received numerous community service awards.
She is married to Clinton House, and they have two children and two grandchildren.
